Moderat at Grand Palais - Passengers
Moderat was born from the meeting between Gernot Bronsert, Sebastian Szary (Modeselektor) and Sascha Ring (Apparat). A fusion of names and styles which allows the supergroup to compose pieces where the powerful rhythms of Modeselektor and the sensitive electro of Apparat meet. Among these nuggets, it is impossible not to mention the superb “A New Error”, which many discovered thanks to the film Laurence Anyways, by Xavier Dolan. Moderat's music full of contrasts is spread across four albums to date: Moderat (2009), II (2013), III (2016) and MORE D4TA (2022). This discography torn between the abyss and the stratosphere takes on its full scope live: the trio giving performances enhanced by impressive scenographies made of light shows and projections. The very special atmosphere of Moderat's concerts is entirely reflected in their performance for Passengers: in the heart of the Parisian night, between the scaffolding and construction equipment, Bronsert, Szary and Ring offer us a moment out of time. A live performance with an atmosphere as poetic as it is apocalyptic which bears witness to a pivotal moment in the history of the Grand Palais. Setlist:
