Gregory G Ras is an international reggae artist and social/environmental/vegan activist originally from Hungary.
He works solo as well as with his full band G Ras & The Planeteerz, an acoustic crew Roots 4ward, and many other projects.
As a friend to DUB FX he was also the main guide and 'fixer' during the Jamaica 2018 project.

Como cierre de una celebración importante (12 años de nuestro primer disco) grabamos una versión del tema Kultura Babylon, totalmente live, en Leopold Studios. De alguna manera sigue siendo urgente recalcar la necesidad de priorizar la bondad y el amor en estos tiempos tan locos. La verdad cada vez mas distorsionada, la realidad cada vez mas confusa, unos piensan que están adentro, otros creen que estan fuera, todos parte de lo mismo pero consumiendo un discurso distinto, todos envueltos e involucrados con la Kultura Babylon, donde ser malo parece mejor. Los que no encajamos, pues a trabajar de adentro hacia afuera por el camino largo, el que realmente genera cambio. Así, aunque el suelo tiemble o llueva, abrimos nuestro camino, porque si uno trabaja y camina con amor, va pintando su propio paraíso en la vereda. Gracias por escuchar ??

Radykalny nowoczesny i transowy live dub z silnym kobiecym elementem w postaci wokalistki Micheli Greny.Wicked Dub Division powstali w 2005 roku z pomysłu GP Ennasa (perkusja), Kinga Claudio (bas) i Luca Venerusa (klawisze). Po serii singli winylowych wyprodukowanych dla sceny soundsystemowej, w 2011 roku wydali swój pierwszy album zatytułowany „Wadada”. Pojawienie się w 2014 roku Micheli Greny, wcześniej wokalistki B.R. Stylers i Massimiliano Peak, wyznaczyło nowy punkt wyjścia.
Po pierwszych doświadczeniach w stylu The Rootical Dub Session, będących hołdem dla początków dub reggae, Wicked Dub Division w 2015 roku wydali album „Dub Drops”. Osiągnęli też wtedy wiele ważnych celów: wystąpili na wielu scenach we Włoszech i poza nimi (m.in. na Rototom Sunsplash w Hiszpanii), otwierali występy Twinkle Brothers, Dub Inc i 99 Posse. Zdobyli nagrodę krytyków we włoskim konkursie Amnesty International „Głosy na rzecz wolności” za swoją piosenkę „New Slavery”.
Ich kolejny album „Red” (2016) promowały teledyski „Freedom” oraz „Roots and Wings”. W 2017 roku wydali 12-calowy singiel „Lion” dla Roots Cooperation i wielki przebój „Mama” razem z North East Ska Jazz Orchestra, gdzie wystapiło w sumie 22 muzyków obu grup. Teledysk do tego utworu przebił już 14 milionów odsłon.
Michela Grena wielokrotnie współpracowała również jako wokalistka z Zion Train.
Po lecie 2019 roku, zajętym koncertami na wielu międzynarodowych festiwalach, wydali swój ostatni jak do tej pory album „Deepest”. Wśród gości włoskiej ekipy na płycie usłyszycie Baltimores, North East Ska Jazz Orchestra, Zion Train, Burimana i Dubdadda.
Ich ostatnim wydawnictwem jest singiel „Revolutionary Souls”.

Tourné au mois d’Octobre 2015 à l’Albufera (Valencia) - Espagne
Sergent Garcia a choisi les rizières de l’emblématique Albufera (Province de Valencia) pour tourner le vidéo clip de « Siembras » (tu sèmes) inclus dans son 7ème disque récemment publié « Contre Vents et Marées ». L'emplacement n’est pas choisi au hasard. L'artiste franco-espagnol a choisi Valencia comme son centre d’opérations européen il y a environ dix ans et c’est de là qu’il se déplace pour ses tournées. La vidéo, réalisée par Nicolas Issenjou, avec la participation de Livan Garcia (fils du Sergent) à la guitare et l'apparition de Galaïfa, musicien Ivoirien qui a voyagé de Paris pour chanter sa partie. Galaïfa est également co-auteur de la chanson, dans laquelle l'espagnol et le Djula se mélangent, et qui est finalement un hommage, avec rythme reggae, à la terre d'adoption du Sergent Garcia.
Sargento García escogió los arrozales de la emblemática Albufera valenciana para grabar “Siembras”, tema incluido en su disco recién publicado “Contre Vents et Marées”. La locación no es azarosa. El artista franco español eligió Valencia como su centro de operaciones hace más de diez años y es desde ahí donde se desplaza a todo el mundo para sus giras. El vídeo, dirigido por el francés Nicolas Issenjou, cuenta con la actuación de su hijo Livan en la guitarra y con la aparición del músico marfileño Galaïfa, quien viajó desde París para estar presente; Galaïfa, es también coautor del tema, en el que se mezcla el español y el djula, y que es finalmente un homenaje en clave de reggae a la tierra adoptiva del Sargento.

One evening, a few years ago in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil, the PFC crew and I were waiting for an 80-year-old cuica player to perform on a Song Around The World. I remember it seemed to take forever for him to make it down the hill, as he would stop off in every bar along the way for a drink and some conversation. As we waited I looked and saw a Rastaman walking across the street with his acoustic guitar in hand. I waved to him and he came over to see what we were doing with all our equipment. I told him about Playing For Change and he agreed to play a song for us while we were waiting. The result was an incredible, spontaneous performance of Dennis Brown’s “Rasta Children.” His voice reminded me of Peter Tosh and he sang with so much soul that we realized this could be an amazing Song Around The World. Just one man and his guitar playing on the street set the tone for this song and we added a worldwide band of roots musicians around him. “I and I deal with humanity…”
